OLIVEHURST, Calif — A 37-year-old Olivehurst man was sentenced to 53 years and 8 months in California state prison after being found guilty of molesting two children.
The Yuba County District Attorney said the crimes came to light in November 2022 when one of Uriel Solorio Lopez' sexual assault survivors told her aunt of his crimes.
When news of Lopez' arrest spread, another girl told police she was sexually assaulted by the man and he threatened to harm her if she ever spoke out.
Lopez was eventually found guilty for his crimes and his sexual assault survivors spoke at his prison sentencing.
