Chase in Sacramento related to armed robbery at Roseville CVS

The robbery happened at a CVS in the area of Sierra College and Roseville Parkway around 3 p.m.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A chase in Sacramento was related to an armed robbery in Roseville, police say.

A spokesperson for the Roseville Police Department said suspects went into the CVS at Sierra College and Roseville Parkway with handguns around 3 p.m., but they took off before police arrived.

No one was hurt during the incident, and it remains under investigation.

However, police said a chase that happened in Sacramento was related to the robbery. Police said they are still trying to figure out what involvement the occupants of the car had with the incident.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said the chase happened after deputies tried to stop the car for a vehicle code infraction near Watt Avenue and I-80. The chase ended in a crash and the suspects trying to run away. Ultimately, they were detained and a gun was recovered.

"Deputies just observed violation, tried to initiate a stop and obviously led to a really good arrest,” said Sgt. Amar Gandhi, spokesperson for the sheriff's office.

Roseville police said four suspects were taken into custody.
