Sacramento gas station robbed twice in same day

The Sacramento Police Department said the gas station has been robbed four times since Dec. 21.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A Sacramento gas station was robbed four times in roughly the span of a month.

The Sacramento Police Department said a Chevron along the 1800 block of Broadway was robbed on Dec. 21, Jan. 19 and Jan. 23. However, the gas station was actually robbed twice on Jan. 23, once in the morning and once in the evening.

No updates surrounding the robbery investigations are currently available.

Syed Naqvi, manager at the Chevron on Broadway, said a robber came inside the store on Tuesday and robbed them at gunpoint for all of their cash. He said the same person robbed him earlier that day and on Jan. 19.

"Me and the other employee that was here, he is scared. I am also scared. If the employees are leaving the store, who's going to run the business?" said Naqvi.

Naqvi blamed the homeless population, the ongoing construction and the police for not patrolling the area enough.

That being said, Sacramento Police Department said they take these crimes seriously and have forwarded the cases to their robbery division.

"The Sacramento Police Department remains committed to working with our business owners to address issues such as these, and we take these crimes very seriously," police said in a statement.

Anyone with information can call the Sacramento Police Department.
