Police employee arrested after driving to work while drunk, Stockton police say

The Stockton Police Department civilian employee was charged with DUI.

STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton Police Department arrested one of their own employees after she drove to work while drunk, police said.

Hope Gillespie, 62, was ultimately charged with DUI and placed on administrative leave.

Police said she came to Stockton Police Department on Market Street, where she worked, and appeared to under the influence of alcohol. Police said this happened on Thursday around 4 p.m.

After investigating, police said she had driven to the station under the influence. She was described as a civilian employee for the department.
