California Election: Congressional District 5 vote results

Congressman Tom McClintock seeks another two-year term, but he'll have challengers seeking to claim it for themselves.

CALIFORNIA, USA — Congressman Tom McClintock (R) is trying to secure another two years in the House of Representatives, but there's two other challengers looking to stand in his way.

The challengers include Michael J. "Mike" Barkley (D) and Steve Wozniak (No Party Preference).

They are competing for votes in California’s 5th Congressional District. The district covers the Sierra Nevada foothills and Central Valley stretching from Placerville to Modesto and to Yosemite Valley and Kings Canyon.

The top two candidates will head to the General Election in November.

► Key Dates: According to the California Secretary of State’s office, vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked by March 5 and arrive at county elections offices by March 12. The last day for county election officials to certify the primary election results is April 4.
