Coroner needs help identifying man found dead in West Sacramento

The man was found dead along a grassy trail near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Yolo Street in West Sacramento.

WEST SACRAMENTO, California — Officials in Yolo County need your help as they try to identify a body found last week in West Sacramento.

According to a news release from the Yolo County Sheriff's Office, the man, described 70-years-old and possibly Asian, was found dead along a grassy trail near the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near Yolo Street in West Sacramento.

Officials said he was wearing a red, short-sleeved polo shit, a pair of cutoff jeans and a white metal bracelet on his left wrist. He's described as 5' tall, weighing 108 lbs. with brown eyes and short gray hair. He also had a receipt on him from a downtown Sacramento Taco Bell.
