SACRAMENTO - A three-car crash shut down southbound Highway 99 on Elk Grove Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cosumnes Fire Department said one victim was taken to an area hospital for moderate injuries.

SOUTH SACRAMENTO - Sacramento firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in South Sacramento Tuesday afternoon.

The fire started in the 7900 block of 34th Avenue. The fire department said multiple houses were involved. No injuries have been reported.

BUTTE COUNTY — A Butte County wildfire has grown to 840 acres and is only 10 percent contained.

Cal Fire has several evacuation orders for the Saddle Fire, which is located off Pentz and Lime Saddle Roads, just south of Paradise. Evacuation are in order for:

  • Pentz Road from Malibu Drive to Missilla Valley Road and all roads connecting to Pentz Road.
  • Concown Road from Hwy 70 to and including Jordan Hill Road, Granite Ridge Rd. and Deadwood Rd.
  • Pinkston Canyon Road and all roads leading off of Pinkston Canton Road.
  • Nelson Bar Road

An evacuation shelter has been established at the Neighborhood Church, 2810 Notre Dame Blvd., in Chico.
