Earlier this week, Morning Blend asked its viewers to send in any holiday family recipes or traditions that they have. Loyal viewer Janet Piper (she actually brought the Extra Shot crew a cake to celebrate their one-year anniversary) shared her family's tradition of homemade Jell-O.

If it tastes as great as it looks, you might want to make some for you and your family this holiday season.

Jello and Pears Recipe

  • One box of either 3oz or 6 oz Lime Jell-O. One 15.25 oz can of pears (or fruit of choice)
    • If you're making the 3 oz:

      • Stir in 1 cup cold water
      • Pour 1 15.25 oz can of completely drained sliced pears (or fruit of choice) at bottom of square baking dish
      • Pour gelatin mix over pears and cover with plastic wrap.
      • Refrigerate approximately 4 hours or until firm. Makes 4(1/2 cup) servings
    • If you're making the 6 oz:
