SACRAMENTO, Calif. — March 16, 2020 update

The two shows featuring a Conversation with Michelle Obama originally scheduled for April 1, have been postponed to a later date that has yet to be determined.

Original story

Former First Lady Michelle Obama is coming to Sacramento for two moderated Q&A sessions at the Golden 1 Center on Wednesday, April 1.

Obama initially planned to have only one show, a session at 8 p.m., and that session nearly sold out, according to Howard Szigeti, a spokesperson for the Golden 1 Center. The number of people wanting to attend was so high Obama and the Golden 1 Center added a second show for 3 p.m. on the same day.

Tickets will go on sale for the 3 p.m. show starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. There will be a pre-sale for this show starting Feb. 3.

Tickets went on sale for the 8 p.m. show Dec. 20 on Golden 1 Center's website and in the Golden 1 Center's Box Office.

VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet with Michelle Obama, are available for both shows.

Golden 1 Center will announce the moderator at a later date. For more information on the event, visit the Golden 1 Center's website.
