SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man was killed after being hit by a car, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
The crash happened on Florin Road and Woodbine Avenue just after 6 p.m. Friday. Police say the person was originally taken to the hosptial with "significant injuries" but was later pronounced dead.
Officials say the driver stayed at the scene and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
Florin Road between 25th Street and Luther Drive is closed while officials investigate. No other information is known at this time.
