Stockton gas station employee killed during robbery, police say

The Stockton Police Department said Thursday the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. along 99 Frontage Road north of Arch Road.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A Stockton gas station employee was shot and killed early Thursday morning in a robbery.

According to the Stockton Police Department, officers responded to the 4800 block of E 99 Frontage Road for a report of a person shot around 1:45 a.m.

Upon arrival officers found a 50-year-old man had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say preliminary information shows multiple suspects entered the business and began robbing it. During the robbery, a business employee was fatally shot. The suspects then drove off.

There is no suspect information available yet.

It’s the city’s 15th homicide of 2024 compared to 20 at the same time last year.
