20-year-old man shot, killed in Stockton

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A 20-year-old man was killed in a shooting Tuesday, according to the Stockton Police Department.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. at March Lane and Pershing Avenue. The intersection is near San Joaquin Delta College. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene and his identity hasn't been released.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting and police didn't release information about a possible suspect.

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting can contact the Stockton Police Department or Stockton Crime Stoppers Inc.
