WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. — West Sacramento police are investigating a homicide after a stabbing victim was found directly under the Tower Bridge on Saturday evening.
Around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to the Tower Bridge after a report that a subject was bleeding, according to West Sacramento Police Department spokesperson Officer Kenslee Viera. Law enforcement discovered the victim suffered from multiple stab wounds.
“Despite the application of life-saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries,” Viera said in a news release.
Police said a fight occurred leading up to the stabbing, and the incident appears to be isolated. There is no outstanding threat to the community, and an investigation is being conducted, Viera said.
