'It's time for a change': Broncos reveal when new uniforms arrive

The Broncos have had the same uniforms since 1997, but switched to orange as their traditional home look in 2012.

DENVER — The Denver Broncos will be wearing new uniforms in 2024 and the team announced the new threads will debut Monday, April 22.

Broncos management first announced March 25 that new uniforms be coming this year.

"It's time for a change," Broncos owner Greg Penner told 9NEWS last month. "We think we'll have something that honors Broncos Country and our fans will be pleased with, elements of Colorado."

"Same colors and same logo, but a full re-design," Broncos president Damani Leech told 9NEWS.

The Broncos have used its navy-blue tops since 1997, when its home and road uniforms included a thick, Nike swooshed stripe down the sides.

Aside from breaking out an alternative Color Rush, all-orange uniforms twice a year, the Broncos have not had new uniforms since the 2012 season, when they went with orange jerseys for its standard home look.

There has been speculation the stripes could be disappearing.

"It hit me in my opening press conference when it was one of the first questions I got, was about new uniforms," Leech said. "And it’s been pretty consistent. I think what surprised is how much time people are putting into their different ideas and thoughts about what a uniform could look like and should look like. I think one their creative but it also reflects their level of passion."

After making their grand debut April 22, the Broncos' new uniforms will likely be seen in Detroit when the NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 25.
