Emergency crews are on the scene of what the California Highway Patrol is calling a “major injury collision” on Interstate 80 near Dixon.
Authorities tell ABC10 a semi heading westbound on I-80 crashed through the center divide going head-on into oncoming traffic. All lanes of westbound I-80 are open, while only one eastbound lane at Pedrick Road is open to traffic, according to CHP.
It is unclear how many vehicles are involved in this crash, but CHP - Golden Gate reported "multiple vehicles and big rigs" had crashed. So far there is no precise number of injuries.
All westbound lanes of I-80 were re-opened around 12:20 p.m. At the same time, CHP officials said they were allowing traffic to flow on one lane of eastbound I-80 in the area.
