February was one for the record books when it comes to rainfall and temperatures.

That's right! February 2019 had an average high temperature of 56.5 degrees. We also had 25 days of high temperatures at or below our average. That makes this past month the coldest February in 50 years.

In addition to that, Downtown Sacramento registered the 6th wettest on record coming in at 8.90 inches of rain for the month.  The wettest February ever was 10.30 inches back in 1986.

It's worth noting parts of the Northern San Joaquin Valley didn't pick up quite as much as Sacramento. For example, Modesto picked up 2.88 inches and Stockton picked up 4.85 inches. However, Redding, located in the northern end of the Central Valley, fared quite well with 8.79 inches of rainfall for the entire month.

Keep in mind, more rain is on the way this weekend and much of next week.
