SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Saturday was a cool and breezy day, but the rest of the weekend won't be. After the 70s on Saturday, warmer temps are here to stay.
Truly, each day of the long weekend offers something different, from the cool and breezy conditions on Saturday to sunny and seasonal on Sunday, and Monday capping us off with afternoon temps in the upper 80s and low 90s.
A weak passing low-pressure system to our north is what helps to keep us cool on Saturday but since that won't be in place going forward, we'll see warmer and quieter days.
Sunday will, once again, start off somewhat cool following the Saturday evening Delta Breeze, but it won't continue into Sunday morning.
It won't be hot on Sunday, but it will be very seasonal with lunchtime temps in the low 70s and the late afternoon in the middle 80s. No Delta Breeze until Sunday evening, and it looks to be a fairly weak one at that.
For the unofficial start of summer, most of the weekend won't quite be feeling very summer-like. However, Memorial Day on Monday will change that, as Monday will be the warmest day of the whole weekend.
No Delta Breeze and building high-pressure overhead will allow temperatures on Monday afternoon to warm into the upper 80s, with some valley locations even looking at low 90s for the holiday.
If you're excited to get out on the water or hit the pool, Monday is the best day.
There really isn't any impactful, plans-altering weather happening this weekend. Even in the high country, afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances are low.
So, no matter where you're going or what you're doing this weekend, the weather won't be something you have to think much about!
