Suspected kidnapper.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating an attempted kidnapper in South Lake Tahoe.

A woman visiting the Stateline area on October 10 said she was followed while walking to a restaurant from Harvey's at around 9:30 a.m.

The suspect is described by police as a young, light-skinned (either Caucasian or Hispanic) male. He has a scar or injury near his right eye and wore black wire-framed eyeglasses.

At the time he was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with dark pants and was riding a white bicycle.

The suspect never displayed a firearm, but he told the victim he had one and motioned to his pocket to give the impression of having a gun.

The suspect repeatedly ordered the victim to come with him. The victim ran away from the area and called the police from a nearby motel.

The image provided by the City of South Lake Tahoe Police Department is a composite sketch created in coordination with the victim.

If you recognize this suspect call the department at (530) 542-6100 or Lake Tahoe Secret Witness at 530-541-6800 and reference case number 1510-0775.
