Man, 38, dead after motorcycle crash in North Sacramento

Sacramento Police Department officers responded to reports of a vehicle and motorcycle crash near Ephesus Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A motorcyclist died Saturday night after a collision with a vehicle in North Sacramento.

Just before 9:30 p.m., officers with the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle and motorcycle collision near Ephesus Avenue and Rio Linda Boulevard, according to a department news release.

Upon arrival, officers located a 38-year-old man with significant injuries, and police said the vehicle had fled the scene before law enforcement got there.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The incident is under investigation Sunday, police said.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the man as Daniel Lee Morris, of Rio Linda.
