Sacramento Police arrested 34-year-old Steven Wilson on Wednesday in connection to the death of a woman found on the American River Parkway.

The Sacramento Police Department is investigating the "suspicious" death of a woman whose body was found on a bike trail on Monday.
A passerby found the woman's remains on a bike trail around 2 a.m. near Del Paso Boulevard and Northgate Boulevard, the department said. During an investigation, detectives discovered that the woman was stabbed to death, Sacramento Police officials confirmed.
The woman is the second body found on American River Parkway in a less than 24 hours. On Sunday afternoon, police found the body of Alex Holden, who went missing on New Year's Eve after leaving midtown Sacramento.
It's still unclear how Holden died. Police officials have not connected the two deaths.
