Two men dead after crash with semi-truck in Yolo County

WOODLAND, Calif. — Two men from Redding are dead after an accident with a semi-truck in Yolo County Friday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol, officers from the Woodland office responded to a crash on I-5 southbound, south of County Road 96 around 7 a.m.

When officers got to the scene, they found a 2004 Dodge and 2018 Freightliner collided, killing the driver and passenger of the 2004 Dodge.

The collision report from the accident says the deceased are two men from Redding, but it does not identify them.

CHP says they don’t believe alcohol or drugs caused the crash. The crash is under investigation and anyone with information can call the CHP Woodland office at 530-662-4685.
