FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. — A Davis woman is dead and four other people are injured after a crash in Fresno County Thursday.
According to CHP, it happened around 3:30 p.m. on San Benito Avenue, west of Panoche Road.
CHP says the driver, a 20-year-old man from Davis, was going southbound in a Mercedes GCL 300 when he went off the road and overturned.
One of his passengers, a 22-year-old woman also from Davis, was not wearing a seatbelt when she was ejected and died at the scene. The driver and his three other passengers were injured.
CHP says it was lightly raining, and speed and a wet road likely contributed to the crash.
