More than 1,300 Placer County PG&E customers are without power

The outages were likely caused by the weather, according to PG&E's outage maps.

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — Nearly 1,400 PG&E customers in Placer County are without power Friday night due to weather, according to the PG&E outage maps

The outages began around 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday night and currently do not have any estimated time of repair. 

High winds, heavy rain and snow pushed into the Northern California region Thursday with conditions expected to worsen through the weekend. A Blizzard Warning was issued for the Sierra region through Sunday morning. 

Officials encourage residents to be prepared for additional outages in case the weather gets worse.
