So, why the big change in our weather pattern?  ABC10's Tracy Humphrey explains why:

A high-pressure system over the West Coast will lead to warming temperatures along with plenty of sunshine.

Because of this huge high-pressure system, the jet stream is now steering weather systems away from the California coastline.

That being said, it's been quite some time since we've had temperatures this warm.  According to the National Weather Service, temperatures haven't been this warm since the first week of November. That's more than 120 days!!

GOOD TIME FOR YARD WORK

Thinking about sprucing up the yard this weekend?  Now that wildfire season is a year-round event, it's never too early to work on the defensible space around your home. Trimming your trees is a great place to start.

"The spacing and height of your trees and shrubs will play an integral role in whether or not your home survives a wildfire," Cal Fire said.
