2 wanted for Fresno homicide arrested in Folsom

The suspects were identified as an 18-year-old man and his 18-year-old girlfriend.

FOLSOM, Calif. — Two people wanted for murder in Fresno were arrested in Folsom this week.

According to a news release, the homicide happened on Aug. 27, 2022, in the parking lot of an apartment complex on North Cornelia Avenue in Fresno. The victim was 20-year-old Monte Jordan.

The release says investigators served more than 20 search warrants for homes, cell phones and social media accounts to gather information. The suspect vehicle was found in Washington state.

Detectives ultimately identified the suspects as 18-year-old Gerald Turner and his girlfriend, Marella Reid, who is also 18.

The pair were tracked to Folsom and taken into custody with help from Sacramento police.
