Warmer weather coming to Northern California

Near-record warm weather is on the way for midweek in Northern California.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Early May can be hot or cold, wet or dry. This week will see cool mornings and rising temperatures day to day.

Monday will see a blend of mid to upper 70s with stronger winds in the Bay Area and Sierra. Breezy conditions will be the case for the valley areas until the evening with gusts to 20mph. The strongest winds will see gusts to 35mph or higher for the Bay Area and Sierra into the afternoon.

Tuesday will see rising temperatures into the mid-80s for valley locations and low 90s by Wednesday. This will get close to daily temperature records for valley locations.  

Thursday we begin to cool just a little with a system on the way. Friday a system will impact far Northern California with light rain and some rain/snow chances for the Sierra by late Friday to Saturday.
