Magnitude 4.6 earthquake strikes Malibu

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck shortly before 2 p.m.

MALIBU, Calif. — A preliminary magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck Friday in Malibu, California. The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck shortly before 2 p.m.

It was centered in Malibu on the California coast, roughly 40 miles west of Los Angeles. Roughly 3,600 people reported feeling it. There are no immediate reports of damage.
